| About Mel Mel Ludington is an experienced drama teacher and storyteller. She holds an Illinois State Teaching Certificate in drama, theater, English, and social studies. She was selected for the prestigious Illinois Arts Council Artstour Roster which makes her eligible for state grants to help cover her fees. She graduated from Kenyon College in Ohio with a double major in English and theater. She earned her masters of education from St. Xavier University in Chicago. She was recently selected to receive the 2008 Illinois Theatre Association's Award for Excellence in Creative Drama. The award is given once each year to an individual whose "contribution to Illinois theatrical arts has been exemplary."
